Introducing the Reading Dragons & Friends Program!

We’re partnering with our friends at the Whitestone Public Library & Technology Centre and the Magnetawan Public Library to offer Reading Dragons & Friends, created by the Dover Public Library.

Every month, young readers can earn 6 creature families with four cards in each creature family. That means you could collect up to 24 unique cards per month!

Earn a new card for every 30 minutes of reading. Pick up your reading tracker at any of the three libraries. Each library has 2 unique creatures per month.

  • Our New Logo Revealed

    Our New Logo Revealed

The McKellar Township Public Library is proud to introduce our new logo! A fresh symbol that reflects our role at the heart of the community.

The design features an open heart, created with three flowing lines in red, yellow, and blue. The open shape represents our commitment to being welcoming, accessible, and inclusive. A place where everyone belongs. It also reflects our vision of the Library as a community hub, where ideas, stories, and people come together.

The colours were chosen with purpose:

    • red represents warmth and connection
    • yellow symbolizes knowledge, curiosity and creativity
    • blue reflects trust, honesty and learning.

Together, they highlight the many ways the Library supports curiosity, growth, and lifelong learning.

While our look has changed, our mission has not. This new logo celebrates what we’ve always been, and what we continue to strive to be; an open-hearted, welcoming space at the centre of McKellar Township.

You may notice our new logo appearing in some places before others. As we roll out our updated brand, things may look a little inconsistent for a while—and that’s okay! We’re updating gradually and thoughtfully, and appreciate your patience as we bring our new look to life.
