The McKellar Public Library and community partners are excited to present the McKellar Healthy Living Fair, an event dedicated to promoting personal wellness, community connection, and environmental sustainability.

Join us on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the McKellar Community Centre for a day of learning, discovery, and hands-on activities designed to help you live well while building a stronger, healthier community.
This free event will bring together local organizations, environmental exhibitors, health and wellness resources, and community groups, creating opportunities to explore topics that support healthy living in all its forms.
What You’ll Find at the Fair
Visitors can enjoy:
- Library displays and a book sale
- Environmental exhibitors
- Community organizations and local resources
- Personal health exhibitors
- Complimentary refreshments
Free Workshops and Activities
Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a variety of free workshops and demonstrations, including:
- Seniors Exercise with Paula Nichols
- Tai Chi with Nicoletta Rogers
- Learn to Play Pickleball and Badminton
Several special workshops require advance registration through the library:
- Upcycled Materials Basket Making with Erin Alladin
- Fermented Foods: Benefits, Samples, Kits, and Demonstrations
- Forest Bathing with Van Saberton



Broke something? Bring It to the Repair Café.
We’re also pleased to welcome a Repair Café, hosted by the Georgian Bay Biosphere. Instead of throwing away broken household items, learn how repairs can extend their life and reduce waste.
Items accepted for repair may include:
- Jewelry
- Zippers
- Clothing
- Electronics
- Furniture
- And more
